My focus is on building international relationships with divers, photographers, researchers and donors—expanding Ocean Archive and turning underwater documentation into knowledge, collaboration and positive action for the ocean.

Deputy board member and the club’s link between divers and vessels. As a former ship’s master, I know the ships we most often work from and what it takes to plan an expedition around them. A good dive starts with the right vessel, a realistic plan and a crew that knows what the divers need, and that’s where I help. Diver myself for 15 years.

Sharing knowledge and making learning fun is close to my heart. For me, knowledge becomes even more valuable when it’s shared — because shared joy is double joy.

I’m a Divemaster pursuing a Master of Science in Marine Engineering. My underwater journey began at the age of eight, and since then, the ocean has shaped both my passion for diving and my academic path.

Growing up in a family of divers sparked an early passion for underwater photography. From 1992 to 1995, I studied cinematography at Dramatiska Institutet (Swedish National Academy of Film), before specializing in underwater filmmaking and contributing to more than 150 underwater film projects. Co-founded Oceaneye Sweden AB, a company specializing in underwater camera housings and lighting systems for high end feature films and documentaries, at depths down to 1,500 meters.

Former editor and editor in chief of diving magazines UVM and DYK. Underwater filmmaker and photographer. Author of 20 books. Since 2025, working at Kristineberg marine research station on Skaftö, Swedish West Coast, now also a part of the Swedish Polar Research Secretariat. Loves to freedive.

I always felt a pull to the ocean and spent my first salaried income on a diving certificate more than 20 years back. Being able to tell the story of the ocean without filters is a wonderful feeling. And learning something new along the way makes the journey of searching for knowledge even more rewarding.
